Graph Theory in Ecology

NCEAS Reading Group

Previous Meetings

Next Meeting - Thursday 2/5/04, 3 pm

At the last meeting, we discussed how to map the Lemke metabolic paper onto a food web. For next time we will discuss the analyses of individual papers that each person has done.

I'm also posting on the web page a couple of relevant papers that Jannicke found. One lists something like 170 different definitions of stability in ecology and proposes six more specific words to use to replace stability. The other paper talks about four hypotheses from ecological network analysis that were primarily derived from small-scale models and looks at the effects on those hypotheses of scaling up to larger models.

I will also put copies in the notebook in the lounge.
