This page presents links to analytical software packages supported by NCEAS Scientific Computing, and used extensively by NCEAS researchers in their research.
NCEAS encourages and strongly supports the use of Open Source software packages (e.g., the R Programming Environment, GRASS GIS, and PosgreSQL) that are distributed under a General Protection License, widely contributed to by the scientific community, and publish source code and algorithms. We also recognize that for some research, commercial proprietary software products are the best alternative and thus we support such packages.
