Karl Pearson

English biometrician and disciple of Galton. Pearson was the leading eugenicist in Europe during the early 20th century, influencing many workers including Cyril Burt. Responsible for the development of the product-moment correlation coefficient and numerous other breakthroughs in basic statistical theory.
