Nathaniel Southgate Shaler (1841-1906)

Neo-Lamarckian. Shaler's main interests were in geography, geology, and philosophy, but he also wrote extensively on the theological and scientific implications of evolution. First dean of the Harvard Graduate School; president of the Geological Society of America.
