Attribution

All of our data, figures and code are freely available for all not-for-profit uses. We ask only that you attribute the source of these items in one of the following ways. For the recent global analyses published in Nature Communications:

Data: Please use the official DOI (available with each data set on the Data and Tools page) and reference the paper in Nature Communications.

Figures: Cite the paper in Nature Communications or provide the attribution ‘B. Halpern and colleagues, National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis’.

If you would like to use data or figures related to the 2008 global assessment or for any of the regional assessments, please cite the relevant paper or attribute to the lead author and colleagues. Data from past studies currently do not have DOIs.
