SNAPP: Landscape sensitivity to ecological drought: The knowns, needs, and solutions for the real world

Principal Investigators:

Shawn Carter, Molly S. Cross, and Kimberly R. Hall

We propose to convene a working group for the purpose of synthesizing the current understanding of multi-year drought impacts to ecosystems, biota, and ecological services with close association to human health or well-being. The SNAP work group will be engaged in four meetings that will contribute to an overall synthesis on ecological drought risks and strategies for improving resilience, and a tangible set of research priorities and strategies suited for on-the-ground management applications. The first meeting (“The Knowns”) will codify... more
