Scientific Computing

NCEAS Scientific Computing Knowledge Base is an actively maintained repository of links to data sources, sscientific software, and educational materials of special interest to ecologists. We welcome your contributions to the Knowledge Base.

NCEAS makes a broad array of Scientific Computing resources available to all NCEAS associates during the time of their involvement with the Center. These include:

  • NCEAS Scientific Computing Staff: consultants on computing and ecoinformatics issues

  • NCEAS Computing Facilities: desktop, laptop, multi-processor servers and scientific software packages

  • Internet Resources: web-based collaboration tools support interactions  among distributed scientific teams

  • NCEAS Data Repository of NCEAS-related scientific datasets

  • Ecoinformatics software tools for creation and management of ecological metadata

  • Scientific Data archives: links to worldwide sources of measured and computed scientific and geospatial data
