    Liying Li (she/her)

Liying Li was a postdoc researcher for the Gulf Ecosystem Initiative at NCEAS with a research interests on birds of the Gulf and multi trophic level interactions. She has interdisciplinary background that combines environmental engineering, environmental policy, and sustainability management. She has used quantitative data analytics for climate change impact analysis on agriculture, resources management, and conservation plannings with species distribution modeling.

    Gabrielle Armin

Gabrielle Armin is a Postdoctoral Scholar with the Gulf Ecosystem Initiative interested in studying how constructed restoration projects change (physically and biologically) over time and their resilience to climate change impacts. Previously, her research focused on modeling cellular responses of phytoplankton to various environmental conditions and the resulting effect to larger biogeochemical cycles. Gabby’s Ph.D. in Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island and B.S.

    Kristen Hislop

Kristen cultivates support for NCEAS through fundraising and facilitating strategic partnerships. Kristen brings experience across public, private, and non-profit sectors to advance science-based solutions to environmental challenges. Her expertise spans coastal and marine governance, advocacy, and development, including broad topical areas ranging from marine protected areas management to climate and energy. Kristen received her Master's in Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School at UCSB, and her B.A. in Geography from UCSB.

    Nathalie Bonnet

Nathalie is a data coordinator at NCEAS's Arctic Data Center. She primarily works with the ADC online data repository, helping researchers manage and archive their data so that it will be easily discoverable, ready for long term storage, and ready for use by others. She is broadly interested in turning large, complex datasets into clear insights through statistics and data visualization. Her Master's research at UCSB used geospatial data to assess how conservation stewardship practices affect California's bird biodiversity.

    Carlo Broderick

Carlo Broderick is a data analyst for the Wildfire Resilience Index (WRI). Carlo collaborated with two other data analysts and the broader WRI team to research, develop, and implement WRI's methodology. His work focuses on the creation and calculation of the index through reproducible, open source, and collaborative data science. Carlo holds a master's degree in Environmental Data Science from UC Santa Barbara, a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from UC Berkeley, and a bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Economics from UC Santa Cruz.
