We can do this because we convene diverse teams of researchers from around the world to work together on solving large-scale questions. They synthesize and analyze existing datasets, turning big data into big insights. 

We are also pioneers and proponents of improved transparency and reproducibility through open science.

Through both basic and applied research, we cover a gamut of timely questions that are important to understanding how to build a world where people and nature thrive.
